Naringin promotes positive inotropism in atrial tissue through β-AR/PKA-dependent pathway

چکیده

Naringin is a flavonoid glycoside found in citrus fruits and grapes with wide range of therapeutic actions. We aimed to study the inotropic effect naringin on rat-isolated atria, dissecting intracellular mechanisms involved this response. Concentration-response curves (0.003-6 mM) were obtained before after pre-incubation selective antagonists. Our results showed that presented biphasic response, positive at low middle concentrations (0.003-2.0 mM), negative high (above 3 mM). Pre-incubation propranolol or atenolol (β-adrenergic receptors antagonists, β-AR), H89 (protein kinase-A inhibitor, PKA), nifedipine (L-type Ca2+ channel blocker), ryanodine (ryanodine receptor inhibitor) fully abolished induced by naringin. Pre-treatment animals reserpine, catecholamine-depleting drug, also prevented increase atrial contractility evoked Altogether, we show causes isolated atria through β-AR/PKA-dependent pathway.

Sildenafil promotes ischemia-induced angiogenesis through a PKG-dependent pathway.

BACKGROUND Peripheral artery disease (PAD) is a prevalent cardiovascular disorder that results in tissue ischemia which can progress to critical limb ischemia. Restoration of tissue perfusion in the setting of chronic ischemia through stimulation of arteriogenesis and angiogenesis remains a key therapeutic target for PAD. However, experimental therapeutics, including growth factor and gene ther...

Fenofibrate promotes ischemia-induced revascularization through the adiponectin-dependent pathway.

Recent clinical trials demonstrated that PPARα agonist fenofibrate reduces cardiovascular events, including limb amputation in people with type 2 diabetes. Here, we investigated whether fenofibrate modulates the revascularization process in a mouse model of hindlimb ischemia. Treatment with fenofibrate led to acceleration of revascularization of ischemic hindlimb relative to the contralatereal ...

Curcumin promotes osteogenic differentiation of periodontal ligament stem cells through the PI3K/AKT/Nrf2 signaling pathway

Objective(s): The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of curcumin on the osteogenic differentiation of human periodontal ligament stem cells (hPDLSCs) and its underlying potential mechanism.Materials and Methods: The tissue explant adherence method was used to isolate hPDLSCs. Flowcytometry, Alizarin Red staining and Oil Red ...

miR-320 regulates inflammation in EAE through interference with TGF-β signaling pathway

Background: MicroRNAs are small noncoding RNAs that regulate gene expression and involve in many cellular and physiological mechanisems. Recent studies have revealed that dysregulation of microRNAs might contribute to autoimmune disorders such as multiple sclerosis. Based on these findings, we examined the potential role of miR-320 isoforms, miR-320-3p and miR-320-5p, in the context of autoimmu...

Transforming growth factor β regulates β-catenin expression in lung fibroblast through NF-κB dependent pathway

β-catenin contributes to the pathogenesis of lung fibrosis. However, the expression of β-catenin in fibroblasts under fibrotic conditions has not been studied. We investigated the expression of β-catenin in lung fibroblasts from bleomycin (BLM)‑challenged mice and human lung fibroblasts treated with transforming growth factor β (TGF-β) or lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) by western blot analysis. Th...
